Job Description

Excellent Senior International Tax Manager (Tax Director Level) with a large US listed Multinational Pharmaceutical company. This is an exciting role for a senior Tax professional to make a step up.

Reporting to the VP, Global Tax, the successful candidate will lead and manage tax matters in all areas outside the US markets. This will involve engagement and partnership with different business functions to understand any proposed business plans and advise on the tax implications of any changes. You will play a key role in the future development of the Tax function, to meet the needs of a growing and changing business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all non-US income tax compliance preparation process and review
  • Ensure all direct tax and transfer pricing compliance requirements in assigned territories are met
  • Provide leadership in relation to local tax authority audits and enquiries
  • Support the international aspect of quarterly and annual ASC 740 reporting, disclosure, and SOX compliance
  • Lead the implementation of local tax planning opportunities
  • Partner with Corporate Treasury for global and/or local external financing and repatriation initiatives
  • Actively drive the development and implementation transfer pricing compliance across the group
  • Perform tax research and analysis of technical tax issues, tax legislation and regulatory proposals
  • Assist in international tax planning, M&A integration and other tax related projects
  • International tax lead on cross functional teams - proactively challenge project and business plans to ensure adequate tax compliance on international income and transactional taxes

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA & CTA/AITI qualified with 7-10 years PQE with big 4 firm or multinational environment
  • Big4 Trained an advantage
  • Experience of international tax and transfer pricing arrangements
  • Significant experience or understanding of transactional finance including (Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable, General Ledger, Intercompany etc.)
  • Previous Shared Service Centre with multinational publicly quoted company experience
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Project management, meeting facilitation, written/oral communication and presentation skills
  • SAP experience an advantage
  • Experience of BI tools an advantage
