Procurement Engineer required to combine Technical ability with a Commercial mind-set and strong supplier relationship management skills.
The procurement engineer will work closely with Site Operations, Technical functions, and Strategic Procurement to achieve business Productivity targets, while maintaining a strong pipeline of cost reduction projects.

The site in North Dublin is currently involved in a new product introduction programme, so this is an exciting time to join an existing team of Procurement professionals to help develop the future Supply Base of the business

Continuously drive material cost reductions through collaboration with Strategic Procurement and Technical functions.
Working with Commodity Management to identify and implement supplier changes
Implement integrated Supplier strategies into the Dublin site, based on Commodity roadmaps,
Participate in new supplier evaluation and approval exercises to ensure business needs can be met
Support NPI and design change activities in terms of part design/manufacturing technology/supplier selection decisions to ensure part/supplier optimisation.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related Science discipline.
Minimum of 5+ years' experience within a Procurement function,
Broad-based commodity experience - suppliers, materials, technology, and manufacturing processes, across a range of commodities a key requirement.
Experience of working within a direct-material Commodity Management
Must have an established commercial mind-set and the ability to assess and conclude business agreements with suppliers
