Job Description

NBI is looking for an enthusiastic Commercial and Product Executive who wants to jump in head-first and help build a mission-driven company from the ground up.


The National Broadband Plan (NBP) is the largest ever telecommunications project undertaken by the Irish State. It aims to radically transform the country's broadband landscape through the delivery of quality, affordable high-speed broadband to all parts of Ireland where such services are not available commercially.

The NBP will ensure that all people and businesses in the Intervention Area have access to a modern and reliable broadband network, capable of supporting the communications, information, education and entertainment requirements of current and future generations.

The network will be designed, built and operated by National Broadband Ireland, using a combination of State subsidy and commercial investment. It will make its services available to all of the rollout area, which accounts for 23% of the population in about approximately 537,000 homes, farms, schools and businesses.

Key Objectives / Accountabilities:

NBI is looking for an enthusiastic Commercial and Product Executive who wants to jump in head-first and help build a mission-driven company from the ground up.

You are comfortable with a constantly changing environment. You are very detail oriented and you love efficiency and excellent customer service. You will directly contribute to the development and maintenance of the Commercial and Product area and will work hand in glove with the full team to ensure Commercial, Product and Account Management deliverables are met. You will work with a diverse team of people across operations, finance, networks and IT and you will champion and promote positive customer experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Product team in ensuring the delivery of a high quality customer experience for our customers
  • Assist in the development and management of fortnightly and monthly communications to our customers and the Industry as a whole
  • Work with Product Managers and the Operations team to deliver support the in life products and track the key KPIs for each product.
  • Provide product assistance to the Account management team to support the onboarding and monthly operational review meetings
  • Record and track the all product development requests and support the commercial team in responding to requests from Service providers
  • Contribute to the day to day management, development and continuous improvement of wholesale customer communications and procedures.
  • Drive adherence and improvements to NBI KPIs relative to the Commercial division
  • Develop a good understanding of the end to end customer journeys. Champion continuous improvement to ensure customer relationships and experience are enhanced.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience in a hands-on business working environment would be beneficial with preference towards working in a telco environment. Delivery against ISO standards an advantage.
  • 3rd level qualification preferred but not essential
  • Excellent Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Strong Excel capabilities would be a significant advantage
  • You have a flair for dealing with people and have great relationship building skills. You are an active listener but keen to contribute to the conversation with your ideas.
  • You are very detail orientated with a proven ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities in a calm and constructive manner.
  • You have an attitude of continuous learning and development and are energised by supporting and driving ongoing business and improvement activities
  • Excellent ambassador for NBI, promoting the organisation and role modelling NBI's values.
