Job Description

Or client, an international leader in the telecommunications industry, is looking for a logistics specialist to join their expanding supply chain team in Dublin for a permanent days position.

My client are looking for an experienced Logistics specialist to join the Supply Chain Department based in Dublin. This role is heavily focussed on the import/export side of logistics and predominantly involves preparing documentation to accompany exports and updating systems in a professional environment.

The Role:

  • Responsible for the distribution management (shipping: import/export)
  • Engage with suppliers to purchase and expedite orders, and to resolve any outstanding issues.
  • Liaise with Internal Departments to ensure on time release of product for Shipment.
  • Management of all day-to-day aspects of supplier relationships.
  • Build and maintain first class relationships with internal teams, customers, subsidiaries, service providers and relevant State Agencies.
  • Managing stakeholders including suppliers, 3PL, freight forward agents/couriers etc
  • Manage day to day operational aspects of reverse logistics, ensuring 3PL's and couriers are maintaining scan compliance and communicating with our customer service teams to ensure customers are refunded in a timely manner.
  • Instruct 3PL's / local transportation companies with regards to day to day business and prioritization; Monitor and report back on any non-conformances. Escalate issues to management
  • Ensure all in- and outbound shipments at the 3PL warehouse(s) are tracked and completed in accordance with current KPI's

The Candidate:

  • 1-3 years' experience in a similar position within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of export regulations and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Very good with reporting tools (OBI, MS Excel, SQL, MS Access, etc.)
  • Ability to identify key issues/priorities, evaluate risks, communicate appropriately and implement contingencies to mitigate
