Or client, a global leader in the ECommerce industry, is looking for a Import/Export Manager to join their internationally expanding supply chain team for a permanent position in Dublin

Morgan McKinley is looking for a Transport coordinator in North Dublin. Our client is a busy transport/logistics company. The purpose of the role will be to grow the business in our existing and future International Markets globally. By assessing opportunities, evaluating market potential, building strong relationships with importers, distributors, retailers whilst formulating and implementing appropriate new market and products plans to drive growth.

The Role:

  • Responsible for coordination of the Import & Export process for allocated studies.
  • Daily interaction with Vendors: Custom Brokers, International Agent Forwarders (couriers) and Depots
  • Ensures all activities are executed in compliance with company good practices and client requirements.
  • Executes the Import & Export/ Trade Compliance plan for each project assigned.
  • Meets with the Trade Compliance Manager to discuss import & export issues.
  • Participates in ongoing Training on new Regulations concerning Import/Exports activities.
  • Maintains Import/Export documentation files and updated PPD Owned Metrics Indicators Reports.
  • An Import Export Coordinator you will be responsible and accountable for the planning and execution of all import and export activities for assigned studies.
  • Involvement in critical daily Supply Chain operations coordinating with major suppliers, customers and internal customer account managers.
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services
  • Comply with laws, regulations, and all other international import/export requirements.
  • Contribute to Development & implementation of logistics, customs and compliance procedures, processes & policies in line with regional and global initiatives
  • Support Tendering activities in all customs and compliance matters, including but not limited to duties/exemptions/licenses available.

The Candidate:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in foreign trade and logistic activities is essential
  • Knowledge of both local and global regulations covering all kinds of Import and Export activities
  • Specific Supply training and courses are desirable
  • Familiar with clinical supply terminology, practices and principles
  • Focus on internal Customer Service aligned with high standards of quality and excellence
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
