The Client is looking to recruit a senior professional to work within its Group Risk team. The successful candidate will
play a key role in the ongoing formalisation and enhancement of the Group's Enterprise Risk Management
(ERM) Framework. This Framework is a critical component of client 's risk process focusing on managing the risks
client faces in strategy execution. The position will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to influence
risk management behaviours across client and develop an in-depth understanding of the Group's operations
and management activities.
The role is cross-functional with exposure to other functions both in Stonemasons Way, client 's Dublin-based
headquarters, and internationally. The continued growth of the Group is anticipated to create opportunities
for the right individual for progression both within the Group Risk team and in the wider Group.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working with leadership across the Group to assist in the implementation of risk management
practices to enhance local and Group decision-making and improve organisational resilience
* Apply sound knowledge of risk management principles to research, analyse, and recommend
sustainable improvements to processes, frameworks, and systems
* Developing risk enabled performance management practices through the use of data analytics and
other advanced technologies
* Contribute to the enhancement of the risk framework through the facilitation of risk workshops,
provision of training and education to colleagues across the Group
* Working to build out suite of monitoring and assurance processes, leveraging Key Risk Indicators,
aligned assurance practices and other risk processes
* Continuing the enhancement of the Group's ERM framework, developing operational risk appetite
statements, risk reporting frameworks and systems for monitoring risk management performance
* Act as a designated point of contact for all ERM matters for our operating entities, building
relationships and driving maturity in their operational and strategic risk practices
* Working with local leadership to embed risk processes in operational and strategic decision-making,
identifying opportunities for enhancing use of risk as a strategic enabler of business performance
* Working with risk champions to assist in the formalisation of their risk management strategy,
organising risk champion forums, connecting risk champions with similar risk profiles, and leveraging
best practice across the Group
* Monitoring industry, environment and regulations for emerging risks and challenges through active
horizon scanning
* Undertaking any other risk related initiatives as directed by the Risk Committee, the Head of Risk or
other senior leadership
Competencies:
* Ambitious team player with the drive to succeed and willing to work hard to achieve the collective
goals of the function
* Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across a number of disciplines, mange multiple
stakeholder demands and deliver output to a high standard
* Ability to take ownership and the lead in initiatives and projects and deliver strong results
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, experienced in presentation of information,
facilitating workshops, and reporting to senior management
* Can cultivate relationships with senior stakeholders to influence direction of thought and generate
buy-in to initiatives
* Willingness to travel
Relevant Knowledge and Experience
* Strong industry, sustainability or client knowledge and/or operational experience would be an
advantage
* Experience of working in a risk related role and possessing an understanding of the key principles of
ERM and/or data analytics
* Holder of an appropriate third level or professional qualification.
