Excellent opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager to join one large independent professional services firm based in Dublin

The role offers the opportunity to join a successful and dynamic team of professionals who work in a supportive and collaborative team environment. The role will encompass the management of a portfolio of clients in the provision of top-quality audit and business advisory services. The portfolio consists of a broad spectrum of clients ranging from multinationals to private owner managed businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Management and delivery of high-quality services to clients. Be the lead contact for the client in the production and delivery of high-quality audit and compliance services.
  • Build successful professional and harmonious relationships with clients, management and staff alike.
  • Manage the complete client engagement from inception to delivery, to include, planning, budgetary control, audit file review, resolution of significant issues with Partner and client, and delivery of case to Partner.
  • Hold an active leadership role in the team and the firm - motivate, empower and influence peers and members of staff within the Firm, making crucial decisions comfortably.
  • Play a lead role in management and development of the team, ensuring high quality of work.
  • Ensure that work is economically managed and delivered to ensure that the case is completed on time and within budget.
  • Support the Portfolio Partner to achieve fee targets set for assigned portfolio as well as overall section targets.
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Partner in the development of service provided to the portfolio.
  • Possess an ability to develop existing business and find new business and contribute to growth of the Firm. Cross selling services of the Firm e.g. Technology, HR/Recruitment, Corporate Finance, etc.
  • Ability to transfer technical and practical knowledge in order to effectively develop members of staff.
  • Recognising the role you can play in bringing value to the client's business and developing skills and experience as a trusted business adviser.
  • Participate in personal professional development through regular attendance of professional updates.
  • Involvement in internal in-house projects and assignments for the development of the Firm.
  • Actively participate in client seminars

Key Competencies

  • Qualified Accountant with at least 3 years PQE.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and audit principles.
  • Strong experience in audit of medium sized companies.
  • Ability to effectively project manage a number of assignments simultaneously.
  • Natural exponent of people skills when dealing with Firms staff and clients.
  • Excellent team management and communication skills.
  • Proactive in approach to client service and business development.
  • Strong commercial acumen and relationship building skills.
