First Line Assurance | Dublin City | Permanent

There is an amazing opportunity on offer in the heart of Dublin City Centre for an experienced First Line Assurance professional to join a brand-new team. This opportunity is offered on a permanent basis with a very generous pension, annual leave and bonus package.

The new First Line Assurance role offers the opportunity for one to join an expanding company and team where one can have a positive impact right from the beginning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess and identify both compliance and operational risk across the business
  • Carry out bi-annual risk workshops to support controls
  • Ensure the Compliance and Operational Risk Register is fit for purpose and maintained across all products
  • Working within deadlines to ensure timely completion of all Assurance Testing Activities
  • Reporting to management and governance on results from Assurance Testing Activities
  • Contribute to the enhancement of business controls as appropriate
  • Work on the development of a risk based Assurance Testing Programme
  • Complete independent Risk Based Assurance Testing in respect of Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes, AML/CFT Transaction Monitoring, etc.
  • Provide input regarding the enhancement of procedures and controls across the business
  • Work closely with the Second Line of Defence (SLOD) and Third Line of Defence (TLOD), evaluating their outputs
  • Maintain and track all audit recommendations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience working in a similar role within Financial Services (Assurance or Audit)
  • Experience enforcing compliance with policies and procedures
  • Professional qualifications (Business, Risk Management etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong risk awareness
