One of Ireland's most loved and leading food brands is on the lookout for a Quality Lead (Manager) to join their Cork facility. The Quality Manager will be responsible for driving and maintaining Quality and Compliance across the site. This individual will lead the activities of the Quality team (QA & QC) to meet customer requirements and drive process improvements while ensuring regulatory and customer compliance. They will also be responsible for building a culture of quality, food safety and hygiene and ensuring that products manufactured meet specification and expectations.
Owner of the Quality management and Food Safety System
Lead Customer Audits/Visits and ensure all corrective actions are dealt with in a timely manner
Develop and manage relationships with key customers and partners.
Collate and Communicate Quality performance at the relevant forums to ensure targets are met and corrective/preventative actions are carried out in a timely manner
Measure and close out technical issues i.e NC's, CAPAs, Supplier issues etc.
Maintain site certifications - BRC FFSC 22000, HALAL and Kosher and any other relevant accreditations & certifications.
Continuous Improvement - Manage and continuously improve the entire Quality Program for the site including sampling plans, procedures, and specification input
People - Coach, develop, train and up skill employees to enhance knowledge and understanding
Oversee the QC Laboratory and the QA Officers
Strong interpersonal, communication, reporting and presentation skills
A team player & coaching mindset
Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through team work, motivation and employee engagement
Excellent technical competence with the capacity to effectively analyse issues and problem solve in accordance with our Continuous Improvement philosophy
A positive, can-do, resilient and flexible attitude
Thorough knowledge of the requirements of the best practice Food Safety Standards
3+ years experience in Quality Management and People Management in Food, Pharma or equivalent sector
3rd Level qualification in relevant discipline
Experience hosting Customer and Regulatory Audits
