Engineering Project Manager - Cork

The Role

This role requires an experienced Project Engineer to oversee and liaise with cross functional teams through the design, manufacturing and fitting of HVAC equipment for data centres, specialty storage and building services. This Project Manager role involves working with the key account manager and design team in managing global data centre projects for key customers.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting and working directly with the key account manager and production manager for key customers.
  • Supporting the key account manager in preparing and maintaining PM records and documentation for each project including project tracking across each phase of a project lifecycle.
  • Supporting the technical design team in compilation and submission of technical documentation as required including technical submittals.
  • Coordinating with the quality engineer in responding to and tracking quality issues, documentation and snag lists relating to these projects
  • Ensure project procedures are in accordance with the approved customer specifications
  • Ensuring consistent quality of response across all projects relating to this customer and their specifications
  • Support the team in the organisation of factory acceptance testing for client related tests and attendance where necessary

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Engineering
  • 3 - 4 years' Experience within engineering project management activities, preferably within manufacturing.
  • HVAC experience is essential
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Package
  • Proficient IT Skills
  • A positive, pro-active approach to working in a team environment
