Business Intelligence Manager - Hybrid working model. Permanent opportunity.

We are working on another exciting new opportunity. Our client is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Manager to join their incredible organisation in Cork. This is permanent role with a hybrid working model.

This role would suit someone with at least 5 years or more of commercial Data Analytics experience.

The following skills are required:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Data Analytics role or similar role.
  • Minimum 2 "years" recent experience with Microsoft Power BI development.
  • A Bachelor or Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Analytics, Management/Business Information Systems (or related degree));
  • Experience in developing self-service dashboards and reports;
  • Ability to clean, transform and integrate data sources using M code in the Power BI Query Editor.
  • Experience in designing data models for performance;
  • Ability to design complex calculations in DAX which are accurate, clear and performant on large datasets and in a variety of contexts;
  • Ability to implement row level security;
  • Experience configuring gateways and scheduling auto-refresh of reports;
  • Knowledge of and experience in implementing data visualisation best practices;
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and delivering multiple projects in parallel with competing deadlines;
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies and techniques;
  • Strong experience with the development lifecycle of data reports and dashboards;
  • Proven ability to manage and delegate tasks to junior staff;
  • Ability to work in challenging and complex scenarios with competing requirements and multiple stakeholders;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to explain technical analysis to a non-technical audience;
  • Ability to lead workshops with non-technical clients, gathering requirements and translating them into scoping documents;
  • Experience with strategy development and operational implementation;
  • Experience in solving business problems and delivering insights;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated with a growth mind-set;
  • Ability to write procedures and conduct training; and Ability to engage with key stakeholders and relay information in a way that is easy to understand and provides commercial (not just process orientated) insights.
