Responsibilities
Project planning and execution
- Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Create timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Implement approved plans, including setting milestones and embedding sustainability dimensions.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of projects.
Stakeholder and partner management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, other NGOs, donors, and partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Foster collaboration to align goals and achieve expected outcomes.
- Manage communication plans and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Leadership and team management
- Lead, motivate, and manage project teams, ensuring they work cohesively and efficiently.
- Provide direction, coaching, and training to team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and manage personnel matters.
Monitoring, reporting, and risk management
- Monitor project progress, performance, and budget spending.
- Report on project status and performance to stakeholders and senior management.
- Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure projects stay on track.
- Ensure project outputs meet the defined success criteria and are delivered within tolerances (e.g., time, cost, quality).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree holder from a reputable university
- A minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience gained from large NGOs or the government, with strong domain knowledge of youth development, foster care, sports or culture
- Excellent command of Cantonese and English
