Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment & Governance
- Align operations with partner bank and brokerage strategic goals.
- Establish SLAs (Service Level Agreements) with key distribution partners.
- Chair operational committees between the insurer and financial institution partners.
- Monitor KPIs related to policy issuance, processing time, and accuracy.
Core Operations & Policy Administration
- Oversee underwriting and issuance processes tailored for high-net-worth (HNW) or retail bank clients.
- Streamline new business submission workflows from bank branches and broker platforms.
- Manage premium collection systems, direct debit setups, and reconciliation processes.
- Supervise claims administration to ensure fast, seamless payouts for partner clients.
Technology & Process Optimization
- Drive digital integration between the insurer's core system and partners' POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Automate workflows to reduce manual data entry and minimize operational errors.
- Implement STP (Straight-Through Processing) initiatives for instant policy approval.
- Manage system upgrades and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for channel-specific tools.
Partner & Relationship Management
- Act as main liaison for operational escalations from bank staff and independent brokers.
- Provide operational training to partner front-line staff regarding application processes and documentation.
- Gather partner feedback to continuously improve the onboarding and servicing experience.
- Conduct regular reviews with partners to troubleshoot pipeline bottlenecks.
Risk, Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure full compliance with local banking and insurance regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC).
- Mitigate operational risks by establishing robust internal control check-and-balance systems.
- Oversee audit preparations and resolve any operational non-compliance issues immediately.
- Maintain data privacy standards regarding sensitive customer financial data shared between institutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree holder
- At least 10 years of relevant experience
- Fluent Cantonese and English
- Channel experience is a huge plus
