Job Title: Retail Manager (Hong Kong) - Fashion Apparel Brand
Role Purpose
The Retail Manager will lead and optimize the performance of 7 fashion retail stores in Hong Kong, ensuring strong sales delivery, exceptional customer experience, and efficient day-to-day store operations. The role partners closely with HQ teams to drive merchandising, brand standards, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
Store Leadership & Performance Management
- Oversee the operational management of 7 stores and ensure consistent execution of brand standards.
- Drive sales performance against targets (daily/weekly/monthly), monitor KPIs, and implement action plans.
- Analyze store performance reports (sales, conversion rate, AUR, inventory, shrinkage) and improve productivity.
Team Management & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and frontline teams across HK.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.
- Ensure effective staff scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
- Foster a positive, customer-centric store culture.
Merchandising, Operations & Visual Standards
- Ensure product availability, correct display standards, and timely implementation of visual merchandising guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment planning to minimize out-of-stocks and overstocks.
- Maintain operational discipline (cash handling, stock control, loss prevention, compliance procedures).
Customer Experience & Brand Consistency
- Deliver and uphold a premium shopping experience in line with luxury/fashion brand expectations.
- Ensure consistent service behaviors, clientelling practices, and after-sales follow-up where applicable.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with HQ functions (Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, HR) to ensure campaign readiness and execution.
- Provide regular store feedback on product performance, customer insights, and competitor observations.
Reporting & Budget Ownership
- Own store-level reporting and operational budget controls (where assigned).
- Manage store expenses efficiently and ensure utilization of resources aligns with business priorities.
Requirements
- 3-6 years retail management experience (fashion apparel strongly preferred).
- Proven experience managing multiple stores (or large teams) and driving sales results.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a track record of developing Store Managers.
- Excellent understanding of retail KPIs, merchandising/visual standards, and inventory control.
- Fluent in English and Cantonese/Chinese (additional Mandarin a plus).
- Ability to travel and work across multiple store locations in Hong Kong as needed.
