Product Control Analyst - top tier investment bank - 35k max

Big 4 candidate is welcomed; 1 year of relevant experience
Experience in product control, equity or alternative products is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Monitor trading activities intelligently and report any unusual findings.
• Stay updated on developments and issues within trading areas.
• Collaborate with traders and management.
• Work with Operations to resolve problems.
• Assess the risks associated with trading positions, including market, compliance, and reputational risks.
• Prepare daily Profit & Loss reports for trading desks, ensuring accurate pricing reviews and effective use of the firm's accounting systems.
• Conduct independent price verification (IPV) on trading inventories.
• Manage month-end procedures to prepare accounts for posting to the firm's general ledger.

Basic Qualifications:

• Strong interest in financial products and market awareness.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A team player with a strong character and control mindset, capable of working under pressure.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Confidence to engage with demanding internal clients.
• Proficient in PC skills, especially Excel, and highly numerate.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
