Life insurer - Business Analyst, Finance (up to 40k)

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Elicitation & Solution Design

• Map current-state ("As-Is") financial workflows and design scalable, automated future-state ("To-Be") operating models aligned with Oracle Fusion Cloud capabilities.

• Translate life insurance finance needs into detailed Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Business Requirement Documents (BRD), and user stories.

2. Oracle Financials Implementation & Integration

• Work closely with systems integrators and solution architects to configure Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP / EPM modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accounting Hub / SLA, Financial Consolidation & Close).

• Design data mappings between core Life Policy Administration Systems (PAS), IFRS 17 calculation engines, and Oracle Subledger Accounting (SLA) / General Ledger (GL).

• Support automated reconciliation controls between premium collection, claims payments, reinsurance accounting, and General Ledger outputs.

3. Testing, Migration & Quality Assurance

• Formulate test strategies, write comprehensive SIT/UAT test scenarios, and coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Validate journal posting rules, chart of accounts (CoA) mappings, and financial statement consolidation outputs within Oracle.

• Manage defect tracking, impact analysis, and resolution in partnership with technical delivery teams.

4. Stakeholder & Change Management

• Serve as the primary liaison between business leads and technical consultants throughout the Finance Transformation roadmap.

• Assist in standardising financial close routines, variance analysis workflows, and management reporting.

• Create training documentation, conduct end-user enablement sessions, and assist with change management across regional business units.

Candidate Qualifications & Skills

Experience Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

• Industry Domain: 4+ years of Business Analysis experience within the Life Insurance or broader Insurance sector.

• Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with Oracle Financials (Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Oracle EPM/Hyperion, or Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications - OFSAA).
