    About the role

    In this role, you will strategically forge partnerships across government, academia, NGOs, and community stakeholders, and ensure high‑impact projects are delivered with excellence, to create meaningful, measurable social change.

    Responsibilities

    • Evaluate and develop funding applications, ensuring alignment with organisational policies, strategic priorities, and community needs.
    • Identify emerging social issues and pursue new initiatives or partnerships with government, NGOs, and academic institutions.
    • Recommend grant conditions, monitor fund utilisation, manage budget adjustments, and support preparation of financial and progress reports.
    • Oversee approved projects to ensure timely delivery, achievement of agreed outcomes, and adherence to scope and budget.
    • Maintain ongoing stakeholder engagement through site visits, ceremonies, community events, and project‑related functions.
    • Conduct background research, prepare briefs, and draft materials such as articles and speeches for outreach or publicity purposes.
    • Contribute to the development and execution of broader departmental strategies to maximise social impact.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, with strong preference for backgrounds related to social welfare, education, sports, arts, public administration, or the charity sector.
    • 15 years of relevant professional experience, including 7+ years in a senior‑level role within philanthropy, grant‑making, or related sectors.
    • Deep knowledge of one or more sectors within the organisation's charitable funding ambit (e.g., social services, education, sports, arts, community development).
    • Proven track record of managing complex stakeholder relationships, including government bodies, NGOs, academic institutions, district organisations, and foundations.
    • Strong analytical and evaluation skills, with experience assessing project proposals, budgets, and outcomes.
    • Excellent communication abilities, including report writing, presentation, and the capacity to draft materials for public‑facing events.
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify community needs, drive cross‑sector partnerships, and support high‑impact social initiatives.
