About the role
The Accounting Officer is expected to play a key part in ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely financial operations, take ownership of daily billing and receivables tasks, support month‑end closing activities, and collaborate closely with overseas teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle daily billing, accounts receivable, and journal preparation with accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare routine accounting and finance reports to support business operations
- Assist with month‑end closing activities, including account breakdowns and reconciliations
- Coordinate and communicate with the overseas Finance Shared Services team
- Support other accounting functions as needed and perform ad hoc tasks
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with internal processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies in accounting workflows
Requirements
- Higher Diploma or above in accounting or a related discipline
- At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in Billing or Account Receivable
- Proficient in MS Office, familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Navision) is an advantage
- Knowledge of industry‑specific billing practices such as airfreight or logistics preferred
- Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to manage tasks independently with good communication skills
