This large organisation has a very reputable procurement function and a sizable team. They are looking for a strong talent to join as Senior Procurement Manager (Construction).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Procurement team in providing end-to-end procurement and contract management services, including developing and managing the company's supplier base in the property and construction category, which includes Building and Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing and Property CAPEX projects.
• Work closely with colleagues in other teams to make sure the spending and demand planning are in a good position.
• Ensure appropriate category knowledge and data is maintained and incorporated into strategies.
• Enhance supplier assessment processes and tools
• Work with the other teams to evaluate performance of suppliers and consultants
• Plan and execute procurement strategies that are aligned with governance and compliance requirements
• Perform leadership on a team of 5+ members and develop talents

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree holder with a technical background/qualification on Construction, Quantity Surveying or Building Services
• A minimum of 15 years' relevant experience in QS/contracts/cost control etc gained from large organisations, with exposure on the client side
• Procurement experience is preferred but NOT mandatory
• Possess experience in working with consultants, contractors and suppliers
• Prior Mainland China experience would be required
• Candidates with strong contracts/commercial experience gained from large companies from the construction/property development/hospitality/utilities/conglomerates etc will also be considered
• Candidates with lesser experience will be considered as Manager
• Fluency in Cantonese, English and preferably Mandarin
