Business Analyst for global Asset management firm - 4 month contract

Job Summary:

Our client, a leading global asset management firm, are looking to hire a Business Analyst for a 4 month contract to start immediately. The role is focused on business change management for their China portfolios, including driving and delivering mainland China project strategies: To enable the development of onshore product ranges, investment, distribution capabilities as well as application of onshore business licenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure entire PMO governance procedures are well implemented/adhered to throughout project cycle, from new business case to project closure
  • Collaborate with programme manager to facilitate project meetings, preparation of meeting deck, meeting minutes and ongoing tracking of action items
  • Manage analysis of project status reports, including review of project costs at project and portfolio level, actual vs forecast tracking of delivery timeline, accruals and summary financial reporting
  • Outline project variances, risks and issues, areas of escalation to stakeholders and track follow up actions
  • Maintain project and portfolio assets i.e project data entry, retention and maintenance of gate papers, business cases, reporting, meeting minutes and other formal project documentation
  • Support programme manager in working with functional teams on resource supply and demand and reporting on project resource timesheet and planning,
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks or duties as assigned by management

Requirments

  • At least 3 years of PMO/ project management/ business analysis experience in a financial services
  • Competency in Mandarin language and written Chinese will be essential, as this role will need to interact with internal China stakeholders.
  • Ability to start within short notice and commit to the end of the contract period.
