    About the job

A leading sportswear brand is seeking a Product Development Lead to drive end‑to‑end product creation, from concept through to commercialization, with a strong focus on product excellence, costing, and process efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the full product creation process for sportswear categories, from brief, design handover, development, fit/wear testing, to production hand‑off, ensuring on‑time, on‑cost, and on‑quality delivery.

    • Partner closely with Design, Product Management, Sourcing, and Supply Chain teams to translate creative concepts into commercially viable, manufacturable products.

    • Own and maintain accurate product data in FLEX PLM, including BOMs, material records, costing scenarios, and key milestones.

    • Analyze material, trim, and make complexities to optimize product construction, engineering, and cost while protecting design intent and performance requirements.

    • Identify issues and risks across development stages, lead problem‑solving with factories and internal teams, and drive continuous improvements to tools and workflows.

    Requirements

    • 7+ years' experience in apparel or sportswear product development, with solid exposure to end‑to‑end product creation and commercialization.

    • Strong product sense and understanding of how fabrics, trims, construction, and fit impact performance and consumer value.

    • Hands‑on experience with PLM systems, preferably FLEX PLM, and strong proficiency managing BOMs, specs, and costings in digital environments.

    • Proven problem‑solving skills, with the ability to diagnose development and production issues and propose fact‑based, practical solutions under time pressure.

    • Solid knowledge of garment costing, including FOB structure, material yields, CM, and the levers to engineer cost without compromising quality.

    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross‑functional and vendor partners across regions.
