This is an exciting contract opportunity to join a relatively young organisation in the renewable energy sector as they looking to bring their tax function in-house.
The CFO is looking for an experienced in-house tax specialist to join the organisation on a contract basis to perform an initial risk assessment of their tax framework, working with them to implement compliance processes, with a view to a more junior hire taking on the permanent BAU role further down the line as they look to bring control of their tax affairs in-house from Big 4 providers. The role will also include assisting the business in readiness for their 31 March Year End and providing commercial support to additional projects as they arise (eg. to how to best structure sales, acquisitions or new market entry).
The ideal candidate will a proactive individual, with experience gained in a multinational environment. They will need to have the drive, experience and credibililty to work independently, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment, whilst collaborating effectively with diverse teams and external providers. They will likely be a qualified accountant and or tax professional (ACA, ACCA, CTA) with a minimum of 5 years post-qualified experience, with a strong focus on corporate tax compliance and international tax matters, ideally within a multinational development business.
