Interim Finance Manager

Morgan McKinley are partnered with a leading retail business in London who are looking for an experienced Interim Finance Manager to support during a busy period of audit and operational change.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced interim role suited to someone who thrives in a commercial retail environment and can hit the ground running.
This role is paying £400 a day inside IR35 with hybrid working available.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors and internal teams to ensure deadlines are met

Oversee high-volume transactional operations and month-end close

Maintain compliance with IFRS standards, with particular emphasis on IFRS 16 (leases)

Manage and reconcile inventory accounting, ensuring accuracy and integrity across multiple sites

Produce and review balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and P&L analysis

Partner with operational teams to deliver financial insight and challenge where needed

Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency across finance operations
About You

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) - essential

Minimum 3 years' experience in the retail sector (multi-site or high-volume environment preferred)

Strong technical understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting

Experience leading audits and working closely with auditors

Confident working independently in a dynamic and fast-moving environment

Strong Excel and ERP systems experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar)
