Morgan Mckinley is currently working with a global alcoholic drinks company who are looking to hire a Head of Commercial Finance. The role is based in London and offers hybrid working, excellent benefits and career progression. Reporting directly into the Managing Director and managing the UK finance team which consists of 4 direct reports.

We are seeking a commercially astute and strategically minded Head of Commercial Finance Manager to support our continued growth and performance excellence.
Role Overview:
The Head of Commercial Finance Manager will act as a key business partner to Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, enhancing decision-making, and supporting strategic initiatives through data-driven insights and robust financial analysis. You'll help shape commercial strategy and ensure delivery of profit and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering & Strategy Support
- Partner with Commercial and Marketing teams to evaluate pricing strategies, promotional effectiveness, and channel profitability.
- Support strategic planning and investment decisions, including NPD (New Product Development), market entry, and customer growth plans.
- Lead financial analysis for commercial negotiations and customer contracts.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Own the forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes for the Commercial function.
- Provide accurate and timely monthly performance reporting with insights and recommendations.
- Identify risks and opportunities, helping drive course corrections as needed.
Performance Management:
- Deliver commercial KPIs and margin analysis to drive accountability and profitability.
- Develop financial models and business cases to assess ROI for marketing campaigns, product launches, and customer incentives.
- Monitor and analyse trade spend and promotional effectiveness.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and procurement to ensure alignment of commercial plans with financial outcomes.
- Work closely with regional finance teams to share best practices and align global financial processes.
Governance & Controls:
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Drive process improvements and support system enhancements (e.g., ERP, BI tools).
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- 5+ years of post-qualification experience in Commercial Finance, ideally in FMCG, beverage, or consumer goods.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience working with Sales & Marketing teams.
- Proven track record of supporting commercial growth and influencing decision-making.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP and BI tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed, and international environment.
