An international financial services organisation is looking for an experienced Communications & Media Relations Manager to lead the media strategy for a high-profile Markets and Economics business.
This is a strategic communications role, focused on raising the profile of senior spokespeople, economic research and key business priorities across UK and international media, with a particular emphasis on broadcast.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders, communications colleagues and business leaders to develop compelling media campaigns, identify opportunities and ensure consistent, high-quality messaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a strategic media relations plan aligned to business priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, particularly across broadcast media.
- Raise the profile of senior spokespeople, research and market insights through targeted media engagement.
- Identify and manage key media opportunities, announcements and campaigns.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, including C-suite audiences, to develop effective communications.
- Collaborate with UK, European and international communications teams to maximise opportunities and ensure consistent messaging.
- Monitor media trends and market intelligence to inform communications strategy.
- Support wider corporate communications activity and contribute to the organisation's overall reputation and profile.
- Ensure all communications activity meets high professional and ethical standards.
About You
You will be an experienced communications professional with:
- Proven experience developing and delivering strategic communications and media campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of media relations, with established journalist and broadcast contacts.
- Excellent understanding of corporate communications, branding and audience engagement.
- Experience working within banking, financial services, investment or another complex corporate environment.
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and strong personalities, including C-suite audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- A collaborative, commercially minded approach and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
