Job Description

Our client, a Tech Giant is now looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join their Public Policy team in APAC. This will be a 1 year contract with extension/conversion possibility.

This role is responsible for executing all purchasing requests for the team including monitoring the end-to-end Source to Pay process. They are looking for someone with a keen eye for details and a track record of managing large amounts of information. This is a full-time position based in Singapore.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide procurement support to the Public Policy and Programs teams in APAC.
* Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders
* Manage manual onboarding of new suppliers/vendors
* Vendor query management - main POC for vendors and liaising with procure to pay (P2P) teams for invoice/payments issues
* Stakeholder management - main POC and escalation point for APAC queries with central internal teams
* Ensure compliance with purchasing and finance best practices
* Work with managers to ensure completion of Statement of Work documents where required
* Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve defective invoices
* Partnering with Finance on their projected spends, ensuring accuracy in monthly accruals and budget reallocations on a quarterly basis
* Miscellaneous administrative support, customised reporting, ad hoc projects

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience of purchasing or database management
* Fluency in English (a second language would be advantageous)
* Advanced Excel, Outlook user
* Ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively and succinctly with people at all levels
* Project management experience - especially handling a large volume of projects in various states of completion
* Must have a high level of professionalism and integrity with the ability to work with confidential information
* Highly motivated team player that can work well under pressure
* Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment with minimal supervision
* Experience working cross-functionally and consulting with internal business clients
* Experience driving change and improving end-to-end processes
