PMO - 1 Year Rolling Direct Contract

Overview:

As a Senior PMO you will report directly to the PCM Section Head and will help leading our project management office comprised of two talented PMOs. You will also be in direct relation with the head of department.

Your key responsibilities will be to set project management standards and best practices across the department, to lead detailed project management efforts in our Information technology organization, and to oversee the successful releases of our portfolio of products. We have an ambitious Corporate Banking roadmap with complex projects that span many disciplines such as Trade, Finance, Loans and Cash Management. We have an excellent but demanding client base, who uses our applications on a daily basis to grow the coporate portion of the group. You will help us to untangle the dependencies, manage commitments and resources, and deliver our projects on-time, with the highest quality and of course, on-budget. You will assist our project directors in the preparation of their strategic committees.

You will help to make sure that project management standards are understood and executed throughout the department, and ensure that all relevant stakeholders are continuously aware of project status, risks, issues, and action plans across portfolio. You will help to make sure that resources are allocated to deliver the highest value (+300 FTE developing and maintaining solutions for the Corporate Banking including 3 strategic projects) and that we remain on budget.

Main responsibilities

You will actively maintain global monitoring and reporting around CBI activities. You will cover topics such as budget, staffing and project monitoring via KPI's and dashboards. Next to these activities, you will aslo actively support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure proper change management is done through the department.

PMO activities

  • Follow-up on CBI projects: planning, risk, issues, dependencies, quality
  • Help Project Directors to preparare Steering Committees and Project committees
  • Follow-up on budget and staffing
  • Update and maintenance of Budget tools and PMO referentials
  • Ensure proper project documentation is available
  • Supervise and maintain projects dashboard for top management
  • Contribute to change management activities within the department

Continuous improvement and change management

  • Continuously improve the efficiency of the current project management process
  • Coach the project managers to deploy new methodologies and processes
  • Propose new templates and process improvements in an efficient way
  • Propose new metrics in order to even better measure the productivity and risks of our projects

Qualifications and Profile

You are a Senior PMO who has extensive experience in working in distributed organisations. You are strategic. You have an extensive track record of successful complex large scale project delivery and you know modern software engineering. You are a champion of risk management and continuous improvement. You are able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and have a good use of your influence skills.

Functional

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5 years experience in project and program management
  • Experience managing large-scale projects across distributed teams
  • Experience in deploying standards for IT project management activities
  • Experience in software engineering and IT service delivery
  • Good experience on Agile project
  • Good knowledge of risk management
  • Experience in change management is a must
  • PMP and ITIL certifications would be a plus

Technical

  • Good knowledge of Project Management tools (e.g. Ms Project)
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices (Agile, continuous value delivery, CI/CD, DevOPS, SDLC)
