Great Opportunity within a Financial Market Sales Team

Loan Markets Salesperson, Commercial Banking

We are partnering with our client to place a Loan Market Salesperson. The successful candidate will work alongside the FIs RMs, Loan Markets Syndicate Sales Desk to build out a Loan Markets distribution platform in Asia. The position will market and execute the full range of Loan Markets products and services in order to achieve revenue and return objectives, in line with risk appetite and policies, and agreed business plans.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships with Loan Markets buying centres of Asian Financial Institution clients,
  • Identifying new clients and providing day-to-day coverage to existing clients, understanding their detailed investment criteria and create a client database to increase it's penetration and distribution to investors for primary or secondary pipeline and to assist with the origination and underwriting process.
  • Work closely with the Bank's Loan Markets teams on all new primary pipeline and identify key investors for each transaction and manage the whole sales process.
  • Join regular calls with product partners, Loan Markets Syndicate & Sales to fully understand the forward looking pipeline and gauge investors' interest.
  • Gain a detailed understanding of the investors approval, due diligence and execution process to ensure alignment of investor efforts with that of the borrowers on specific transactions.

Qualifications

  • Managing client relationships - experienced in and ability to establish and maintain client relationships, aiming to procure new business in line with agreed business plans. Existing client relationships with Asian banks or NBFI loan investors is essential.
  • Delivering results- evidence of distribution and execution experience of at least 3-5 years in either an Asia loan syndicate or loan sales role.
  • Understanding of products and services offered across loan markets with a background in either real estate or infrastructure or project finance preferred.
  • Good basic understanding of Loan Markets related documentation and related terms and key clauses/covenants and of the loan primary & syndicate process.
