Join a tier-1 global corporate & investment bank in Tokyo as a Vice President, Relationship Manager (Global Subsidiary Banking), focusing on multinational corporate (MNC) clients.
This is a high-impact front-office role where you will drive client relationship management, business origination, and cross-border banking solutions. Working closely with global teams, you will play a key role in expanding the bank's MNC portfolio and delivering tailored financial strategies to sophisticated clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary relationship manager for multinational subsidiaries in Japan, managing strategic client engagement.
- Develop and execute client coverage strategies in collaboration with regional and global teams.
- Originate and deliver corporate banking solutions across lending, transaction banking, trade finance, and capital markets.
- Drive cross-selling initiatives by partnering with internal product teams (cash, FX, derivatives, securities services).
- Conduct detailed client analysis to identify opportunities and align tailored financial solutions.
- Engage senior stakeholders, including Treasurer-level clients, to deepen relationships and support growth.
- Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and internal risk frameworks while maintaining strong control standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Relationship Manager or Corporate Banker covering multinational or large corporate clients.
- Track record in client development, business origination, and transaction execution.
- Strong experience in corporate banking products including lending, transaction banking, and risk solutions.
- Experience working in cross-border environments with global team coordination.
- Solid understanding of credit analysis, risk management, and approval processes.
- Experience operating under strict compliance frameworks (KYC/AML).
