Join a top-tier global corporate and investment bank as a VP Corporate Banker, responsible for managing and expanding relationships with large Japanese corporate clients. This hybrid banking role covers corporate lending, transaction banking, and markets products, offering broad exposure across origination, cross-selling, and strategic advisory. You will work closely with senior client decision-makers and internal product specialists to deliver integrated financial solutions within a global platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of large Japanese corporate clients.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to increase wallet share and client penetration.
- Originate business across lending, transaction banking, and markets products.
- Coordinate closely with product specialists, credit teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead client discussions with treasurers, CFOs, and senior management.
- Identify commercial opportunities through detailed client and industry analysis.
- Ensure disciplined portfolio management and adherence to internal policies and governance standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in corporate banking or investment banking.
- Strong understanding of Japanese large corporate clients and industry dynamics.
- Proven experience in origination across lending and transaction banking products.
- Solid credit skills with familiarity in approval and risk management processes.
- Experience working across multiple products and internal teams within a banking environment.
- Background within a global banking platform.

Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level
