This senior role focuses on driving origination, cross-selling, and credit engagement across banking, insurance, and asset management clients. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while coordinating with regional and global teams to deliver integrated banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow senior-level relationships with financial institution clients in Japan
- Lead origination and execution across lending, transaction banking, and markets products
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client decision-makers across FIG sectors
- Drive cross-selling initiatives and expand wallet share through strategic account planning
- Oversee credit processes and internal approvals in collaboration with risk partners
- Coordinate client delivery with regional and global banking teams
- Ensure strong governance, compliance, and portfolio discipline
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Extensive experience in FIG coverage, corporate banking, or capital markets
- Strong knowledge of lending, transaction banking, and markets products
- Proven track record managing senior financial institution client relationships
- Solid credit analysis and risk management expertise
- Demonstrated success in origination and revenue generation
- Experience working within global banking platforms
- Background as a FIG RM at a global bank or Japanese megabank (banks or NBFI coverage)
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Commercial mindset with high accountability and ownership
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Intermediate to Business level
