As a Post-Trade Solutions Associate, you will analyse OTC derivatives portfolios, deliver accurate valuation and risk analytics, and support clients with technical expertise. This role offers exposure to advanced valuation technology, cross-asset analytics, and direct interaction with major financial institutions in Japan and globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse OTC derivatives portfolios and perform valuation calculations across multiple asset classes
- Map, reconcile, and validate cashflows and trade valuations
- Support client-specific requirements including data interpretation, system setup, and portfolio adjustments
- Investigate unexpected results, identify data or model issues, and implement effective solutions
- Communicate methodologies, assumptions, and analytics clearly to clients
- Monitor client usage and share insights with internal teams to enhance services
- Provide technical support for sales, including demos, evaluations, and onboarding
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Strong understanding of OTC derivatives across asset classes
- Knowledge of valuation models and risk calculations for derivatives
- Proficiency in Excel; programming experience (Python or similar) is an advantage
- 1-6 years of experience in OTC operations, credit risk, or market infrastructure
- Japanese native fluency and English business-level communication
Soft Skills:
- Analytical thinker with structured problem-solving skills
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to various audiences
- Commercial awareness with a balanced, business-oriented mindset
