Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all Japan operations functions, ensuring efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with senior leadership as a key strategic advisor on business planning and operations.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Finance, and Technology teams to support business expansion and infrastructure development.
- Drive process optimization, automation, and operational transformation initiatives.
- Maintain strong internal controls and operational risk management frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with Japanese regulatory requirements (JFSA, JSDA).
- Coordinate with global and regional teams to align operational strategies and execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Proven experience in operations management within financial services or securities firms.
- Strong understanding of Japanese securities operations (settlement, clearing, regulatory reporting).
- Knowledge of equity products (Japanese and international markets).
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams and strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills to work with local and global stakeholders.
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to leverage technology to improve operations.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent level
- English: Business level
