An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Client Services professional to join a leading global investment bank in Tokyo. This role sits within the Global Markets Client Services team, providing high-quality post-trade support to institutional clients while acting as a key liaison between clients and internal stakeholders. You will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, enhancing client satisfaction, and driving process improvements across complex financial markets operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional clients, ensuring seamless support and service delivery for offshore and global markets transactions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, and Technology teams to address client requirements and resolve operational issues.
- Monitor end-to-end post-trade processes, identifying inefficiencies, operational risks, and control weaknesses while implementing process improvements.
- Drive operational excellence through workflow optimization, process enhancement initiatives, and effective risk management practices.
- Maintain compliance with internal control frameworks, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and financial sanctions requirements while escalating issues appropriately.
- Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational consistency and transparency.
- Support client relationship management by providing timely communication and delivering high-quality service experiences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience within financial services, investment banking operations, trade support, settlements, or securities operations.
- Strong understanding of Middle Office and Back Office operational functions within banking or capital markets environments.
- Knowledge of financial products including credit products, interest rates products, derivatives, or related asset classes.
- Experience working in a client-facing role supporting institutional clients or financial markets operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Excel VBA, is highly desirable.
