Join a globally recognized investment bank as part of the First Line Business Risk & Control function within Operations.
This role acts as a critical bridge between business execution and risk oversight, ensuring a strong control environment while supporting business growth. You will work closely with stakeholders across functions to manage operational risk, enhance governance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead governance forums and deliver risk reporting to support business decision-making.
- Provide guidance on policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards.
- Monitor incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Track Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and identify emerging risks across operations.
- Manage issue remediation processes, ensuring timely resolution and accountability.
- Partner with stakeholders to assess risks and strengthen operational control frameworks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Experience in operational risk, internal controls, or risk management within financial services.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and non-financial risk disciplines.
Soft Skills:
- Strong understanding of end-to-end operational processes within financial institutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex risk concepts clearly.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Business level
- English: Business level
