In this Markets Financial Control role, you will play a critical part in validating trading performance, analyzing valuation drivers, and reinforcing financial governance across global market products. Working closely with trading desks, valuation teams, and cross-functional partners, you will help ensure accurate daily P&L reporting, monthly close activities, and robust financial controls-making this an ideal position for professionals seeking deeper expertise in product control and market finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate daily P&L results, identifying key drivers impacting trading performance.
- Prepare monthly financial close activities to ensure accurate valuation and balance sheet representation.
- Collaborate with trading desks and support teams to resolve discrepancies and provide insights on financial movements.
- Coordinate with valuation teams on monthly price testing, reserves, and policy alignment.
- Support analysis of new products by assessing accounting treatment, trade flows, and financial implications.
- Contribute to process and system enhancements by partnering with operations and technology teams.
- Respond to ad-hoc reporting and inquiries from internal stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Experience in a finance-related role supporting trading or market-linked activities.
- Experience analyzing financial data with accuracy under time-sensitive conditions.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as front office, operations, technology, or risk.
- Experience preparing documentation and reports using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment requiring prioritization and proactive issue-solving.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain financial insights and findings.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams with a proactive mindset.
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in valuation and reporting processes.

- Japanese: Native
