A global Fortune 500 technology leader is seeking a strategic and business-driven HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support a rapidly growing business unit in Tokyo.

Key Responsibilities
- Support a large and expanding business unit by delivering strategic HR partnership
- Identify organizational and talent challenges and propose solutions aligned with business strategy
- Partner with department heads through regular discussions, providing HR insight and decision-making support
- Plan and implement organizational development initiatives such as diagnostics and engagement improvement programs
- Drive talent placement, internal transfers, and succession planning strategies
- Support performance evaluation and compensation processes across the assigned organization
- Manage talent development by identifying high performers and addressing performance issues
- Provide HR coaching and guidance to department heads and senior stakeholders
- Define recruitment requirements and support hiring strategy for the assigned department
- Design and manage onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new hires
- Propose and implement training plans and development programs based on business needs
- Detect and resolve labor law risks and employee relations issues proactively
- Participate in domestic and global HR projects and cross-functional HR initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years of corporate HR experience (HR Generalist, HRBP, or Labor Relations)
- Strong experience partnering directly with senior management and department heads
- Proven ability to manage complex HR initiatives in a fast-paced or global business environment
- Strong bilingual communication skills in Japanese and English (TOEIC 800+ equivalent preferred)

- Strong analytical ability to identify organizational challenges and create structured improvement solutions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and handle sensitive negotiations
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to uncover root causes and proactively solve problems

Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native
- English: Business Level (Intermediate to Business)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as an HRBP, People Partner, or HR Generalist within global organizations
- Knowledge or experience in Organizational Development (OD) and Talent Management
- Experience in HR policy design and HR system planning
- Hands-on labor relations and employee relations experience
- Experience supporting fast-changing business environments such as tech or high-growth companies
- Ability to design HR initiatives based on data analysis and organizational insights
