Join a global marketing and digital agency as a UI/UX Lead Designer (Haken), owning UI and UX strategy across web, mobile, and digital campaign experiences. This role plays a key part in shaping seamless, user-centered digital journeys by translating user research, data insights, and business objectives into high-impact design solutions.
You will work at the intersection of design strategy, execution, and collaboration, influencing digital experiences for high-profile brands across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and high-fidelity UI designs for digital platforms
- Define and manage scalable design systems, UI components, and interaction patterns
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to inform design direction
- Develop personas, user journeys, service blueprints, and UX strategy frameworks
- Collaborate closely with analytics, creative, growth, search, and development teams
- Present design concepts and research insights clearly to internal stakeholders and clients
- Perform competitive analysis and benchmark studies to guide continuous design improvement
- Partner with engineers to ensure accurate implementation of design systems and UI patterns
- Drive optimization of landing pages, websites, emails, and mobile applications
- Stay up to date with emerging UI, UX, and CX design trends and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in UX and UI design for web and mobile platforms
- Strong experience applying user-centered design methodologies and research techniques
- Proven background designing scalable UI components, interaction patterns, and design systems
- Experience working closely with development teams through design implementation
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX process and high-fidelity UI design work
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with clients and stakeholders
- Ability to lead design discussions and influence cross-functional teams
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Collaborative, positive, and solution-oriented mindset
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Business-level proficiency required
- English: Business-level proficiency required
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience using Figma, Sketch, Principle, or similar design and prototyping tools
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
- Experience on projects within financial services or the automotive industry
- Familiarity with Agile software development environments
- Experience conducting usability audits and competitive benchmark analysis
