    A leading mobile and telecommunications provider is seeking a Haken QA Lead to guide quality assurance initiatives for BSS software development in Japan. This role is ideal for a hands-on QA leader who thrives in innovative, fast-moving environments and is passionate about continuous improvement (Kaizen). You will lead QA strategy, mentor teams, and ensure high-quality delivery across complex telecom systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and mentor a QA team while overseeing BSS software development from a QA leadership perspective
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of quality and efficiency
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and managers to align on QA strategy, planning, and issue resolution
    • Own end-to-end QA planning, including milestone tracking, risk identification, and process optimization
    • Ensure all QA deliverables meet defined quality standards and benchmarks
    • Provide transparent reporting on progress, challenges, and industry best practices
    • Define and apply performance metrics to evaluate QA effectiveness and cost efficiency

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in quality management across the software development lifecycle
    • 1+ year of project management experience, ideally as a QA Lead in an IT environment
    • Proven experience designing test strategies, creating test plans, and managing testing schedules
    • Track record of driving process improvements and supporting team capability development
    Soft Skills:
    • Strong customer-oriented mindset
    • Clear and effective communication skills
    • Ability to lead, influence, and align stakeholders in a dynamic environment
    Language Requirements:
    • Japanese: Conversational to Business level
    • English: Intermediate to Business level

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience supporting web services or BSS application development in Agile environments
    • Strong vendor coordination skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously
    • ISTQB Foundation Level certification
