Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate highly reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant production infrastructure.
- Improve system reliability through monitoring, observability, incident response, and post-incident analysis.
- Define and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure to improve performance, security, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers to enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and platform reliability.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, automation, and system resilience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Cloud Engineer.
- Experience supporting cloud-based production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, networking fundamentals, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
Soft Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional engineering teams.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Business to Fluent level.
- English: Intermediate to Business level.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting e-commerce platforms or high-traffic web applications.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Experience using observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog.
- Programming or scripting experience with Go, PHP, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
