Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, migrate, and test core distributed services and microservices within the Communication Platform.
- Build scalable backend systems that support campaign management and personalized communications for millions of users.
- Use AI-assisted engineering workflows to explore new design approaches and improve development efficiency and user experiences.
- Expand automated test coverage and implement software engineering best practices to maintain system quality, reliability, and performance.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable Java code across the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct peer code reviews and create clear documentation for software architecture and technical designs.
- Work with CI/CD and container technologies to support reliable application development and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams across Japan, India, and Singapore to achieve shared product and technology goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on professional software development experience.
- Strong programming expertise in Java.
- In-depth knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and technologies such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks or approaches such as Karate, BDD, and Cucumber.
- Experience writing maintainable production code and participating in code reviews and technical documentation.
Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across international engineering teams.
