Key Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale, high-risk B2C BSS system development projects from initiation through successful delivery.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Apply Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Proactively identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and resolve complex technical and operational challenges.
- Communicate project progress, milestones, and key updates to executive leadership while managing stakeholder expectations.
- Mentor project team members, coordinate resources, and foster a collaborative, high-performing project environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Proven experience managing high-risk, large-scale IT or BSS system implementation projects.
- Strong practical knowledge of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with project management and budget tracking tools such as Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
- Professional Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills in fast-paced project environments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the confidence to navigate ambiguity and complex project challenges.
- Outstanding stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, resolve conflicts, and drive successful project outcomes.
Language Requirements:
- English: Fluent (required).
- Japanese: Conversational level or above (required).

- Experience delivering enterprise-scale telecommunications or Business Support System (BSS) projects.
- Experience working within large multinational technology organisations.
- Familiarity with digital transformation or customer platform modernisation initiatives.
