In this role, you will lead backend application design and development, working across the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis and architecture design to implementation, testing, deployment, and production support. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers and internal platform teams, including payments, loyalty programs, and membership services, to deliver highly scalable and reliable mobility solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Review business requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend web applications and APIs supporting mobility services.
- Create detailed technical specifications and architecture documentation.
- Execute unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and security validation.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, engineers, and internal platform teams to deliver new features and enhancements.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Optimize application, database, and infrastructure performance.
- Support system reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 7+ years of professional experience in Java web application development.
- Strong experience with JUnit and automated testing frameworks.
- 5+ years of experience using Spring Framework, JPA, MySQL or Oracle databases.
- Experience working with Apache, Nginx, and Tomcat environments.
- 1+ year of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Redis, and MongoDB.
- Experience with SQL tuning, database optimization, and Java application performance tuning.
- Experience developing and supporting large-scale enterprise or consumer-facing systems.
Soft Skills:

- Experience implementing end-to-end automated testing frameworks such as Playwright.
- Experience with Elasticsearch, Grafana, SonarQube, and Jenkins.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
- Experience designing highly scalable distributed systems.
- Experience working on mobility, travel, transportation, or consumer platform services.
