This strategically important role sits at the intersection of software product management, connected car technology, mobile apps, cloud services, and automotive systems. You will connect customer needs with complex in-vehicle technologies to create intuitive digital mobility experiences for drivers worldwide.
You will own the product vision and roadmap for connected vehicle features, working closely with UX designers, engineering teams, and stakeholders in Japan and overseas. Using customer research, data analysis, vehicle data, and APIs, you will translate business and user requirements into actionable product, system, and data requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Define, communicate, and execute the product vision and roadmap for connected car features and services.
- Lead product planning and development for customer-facing mobile applications and digital services supporting next-generation vehicles.
- Use data analysis and user research to identify customer needs, product opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Partner with UX designers and relevant teams to create intuitive and engaging mobile app experiences.
- Translate business and user requirements into clear technical system requirements, specifications, and data flows.
- Work with vehicle data and APIs to define how connected services interact with automotive systems and digital applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on products involving automotive architecture, embedded software, cloud services, communications technologies, and mobile applications.
- Define and prioritise requirements across products involving multiple technical components and complex dependencies.
- Coordinate diverse stakeholders in Japan and overseas to align priorities, product requirements, and strategic objectives.
- Drive cross-functional decision-making and build consensus between Product, Engineering, UX, business teams, and global stakeholders.
- Balance long-term product strategy with short-term delivery priorities to ensure successful product execution.
- Lead complex, large-scale product initiatives from requirements definition through development and release.
- Champion the customer perspective throughout the product lifecycle and ensure user needs are reflected in product decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 8+ years of software product management experience, with a proven track record of successfully releasing customer-facing software products.
- Experience defining and executing product strategies, roadmaps, requirements, and delivery plans for software products.
- Foundational technical understanding of one or more areas including automotive architecture, embedded software, cloud services, communication protocols, or mobile applications.
- Experience defining requirements and leading large-scale, complex projects involving multiple technical components and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, UX, Product, and business functions.
- Bachelor's degree.

Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Business level or above
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in both a large corporation or IT consulting firm and a startup environment.
- Knowledge of automotive software development processes and methodologies such as ASPICE.
- Strong interest in or knowledge of electric vehicles (EV), connected cars, Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV), or next-generation mobility.
- Experience working within automotive technology, connected services, mobility technology, or related software environments.
