You will build and maintain MILS, SILS, and HILS testing environments, execute and automate test cases, and collaborate directly with clients and technical teams. Key Responsibilities
- Execute automotive software and system verification using MILS, SILS, and HILS platforms, analysing results and producing detailed test reports.
- Build, configure, and maintain MILS, SILS, and HILS test bench environments for automotive software verification and calibration.
- Create, manage, execute, and continuously improve test cases for advanced automotive and ADAS functions.
- Drive the optimisation and automation of software verification and testing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability.
- Provide on-site technical support and collaborate closely with clients, engineering teams, and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain strong working relationships.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience in the automotive or mobility industry.
- Proven experience in automotive embedded systems verification.
- Hands-on experience building and working with MILS, SILS, and HILS environments for verification and calibration.
- Experience with software module validation using Google Test.
- Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, CAN-FD, CAN-XL, FlexRay, or Ethernet.
- Experience with vehicle network and protocol analysis tools such as CANalyzer, CANape, or CANoe.
- Programming experience with C, C++, and Python.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with client stakeholders, external vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Proactive and adaptable approach to professional development, including supporting and mentoring junior team members.
- Structured and logical thinking with strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- English: Business-level reading and writing skills.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Technical degree in systems engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience providing technical support for AD/ADAS products or services.
- Knowledge of automotive standards and development frameworks such as ISO 26262, Automotive SPICE (A-SPICE), and AUTOSAR.
- Experience with plant model development, SysML system modelling, test automation, Agile, or DevOps methodologies.
- Relevant testing certifications such as ISTQB/JSTQB or practical experience in security testing.
