A highly regarded global financial institution is seeking a Compliance Testing Specialist to support effective and practical compliance governance at the forefront of the investment banking industry.
This role offers the opportunity to evaluate and strengthen compliance controls through risk-based testing, while working closely with global teams in a world-class regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk-based compliance testing to assess the effectiveness of policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify key compliance risks by analyzing relevant regulations and internal frameworks.
- Provide actionable recommendations to address findings and enhance compliance standards.
- Collaborate with global compliance teams and support regulatory responses when required.
- Prepare detailed reports covering testing scope, results, remediation actions, and documentation controls.
- Develop and execute testing plans to evaluate both the design and operational effectiveness of controls.
- Lead investigations from initiation to completion, including stakeholder walkthroughs and interviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Experience in compliance, risk management, or internal controls within a financial institution.
- Practical knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements in Japan.
- Background in compliance testing, internal audit, or external audit is highly valued.
Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work effectively across regions and departments.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to drive projects independently and efficiently.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Fluent
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with compliance testing or audit-related functions.
- Strong understanding of Japanese laws, regulations, and regulatory response practices.
