Join a leading global insurance company in Tokyo as part of the Global Internal Audit function. This is a central position that works closely with both business operations and senior management, providing risk-based insights that directly impact governance and strategic decision-making.
You will play a key role in strengthening internal controls, enhancing risk management frameworks, and supporting transformation initiatives within a highly international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full audit lifecycle including planning, control testing, reporting, and remediation validation
- Support senior management in developing and executing risk-based audit plans
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders
- Clearly communicate audit findings and critical issues to executive leadership and audit management
- Monitor industry and regulatory developments impacting audit scope
- Continuously assess business risks and control environments through meetings, walkthroughs, and data analysis
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit, compliance, internal controls, or related fields
- Experience within financial services, insurance, or regulated industries is highly preferred
Soft Skills:
- Team-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical thinking and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a changing, transformation-driven organization
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent (native or equivalent)
- English: Fluent to business level (one language native, the other business level or above)
