Join a leading global investment bank as a Capital Markets Lawyer in Tokyo, working directly within the front office on high-profile transactions.
This role offers the opportunity to execute and originate equity and debt capital markets (ECM/DCM) transactions, including IPOs and bond issuances, while collaborating closely with bankers, clients, and international stakeholders. You will play a key role in structuring complex financial deals and delivering strategic legal advice in a fast-paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute ECM and DCM transactions including IPOs, follow-on offerings, and bond issuances
- Lead documentation processes including drafting and reviewing offering materials and legal contracts
- Manage due diligence and coordinate end-to-end transaction execution
- Support structuring of complex and hybrid financing solutions
- Collaborate with bankers, clients, and external counsel on deal delivery
- Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders and clients
- Assist in preparing pitch materials for new business origination
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, or a law firm
- Hands-on experience in ECM and/or DCM transactions
- Experience working on cross-border or international transactions
- Strong experience managing legal documentation and transaction processes
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
