About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading global healthcare organisation, is seeking an HR Generalist to join their HR team on a 2-year fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking to join a large, well-established organisation and gain broad exposure across a range of HR functions. Working closely with the HR Manager, HR Business Partners and wider HR team, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of day-to-day HR services and ensuring a positive employee experience.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across areas including HR operations, employee relations, performance management, employee lifecycle processes, reporting, engagement and HR projects.
The Role
As HR Generalist, you will provide operational HR support to employees and managers while contributing to the delivery of key HR programmes and initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a first point of contact for employee and manager HR queries, providing timely guidance on policies and processes.
- Supporting the delivery of key cyclical HR processes, including performance management, merit reviews and headcount tracking.
- Managing queries through the HR shared inbox and escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate employee information and HR records across relevant HR systems.
- Supporting onboarding, offboarding and wider employee lifecycle activities.
- Providing administrative support across a broad range of HR activities while ensuring documentation is accurate, current and compliant.
- Supporting employee relations processes, including preparation of documentation, meeting coordination and note-taking.
- Assisting with HR reporting, data collection and analysis to support business and HR objectives.
- Supporting talent management and employee development processes.
- Coordinating training and development activities.
- Supporting employee engagement initiatives and internal HR communications.
- Assisting with HR projects, change initiatives and wider HR programmes.
- Working collaboratively with HR Business Partners, Centres of Excellence and other HR colleagues to ensure effective HR service delivery.
- Ensuring HR policies and processes are applied consistently and escalating complex or sensitive matters to the HR Manager or HRBP as required.
About You
We are looking for an HR professional who is comfortable working across a broad range of HR activities and who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You will ideally have:
- A third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline and/or be working towards CIPD membership.
- Previous experience in an HR support, HR generalist or HR operations role.
- Exposure to key HR areas such as employee relations, employee lifecycle processes and HR operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage with employees and managers at all levels.
- The ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, discretion and integrity.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a busy environment.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving, with good judgement around when to escalate issues.
- Experience using HR systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
