Role Title: External Sales Representative
Location: Sligo
Purpose:
On behalf of our client, a respected and established supplier in the building and construction materials sector, we are seeking to recruit a Plumbing & Heating External Sales Representative to cover the Eastern region.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and self-motivated sales professional to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a range of plumbing and heating products, driving sales, and building long-term relationships with both existing and prospective customers. The role is field-based and suited to someone with strong product knowledge and a passion for excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell a wide range of plumbing and heating products to customers across the Eastern region
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers to ensure loyalty and repeat business
- Meet or exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
- Deliver product presentations and support customers with technical information where required
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer service and timely delivery of orders
Essential Experience:
- Proven sales experience in the construction or building materials sector
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and heating products (preferred)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and handle multiple priorities
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude
- IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Full clean driving licence essential
